A year in the zoom.
When shelter-in-place started in March 2020, we thought we would host the weekly staff meetings via Zoom for maybe three weeks. To lighten the mood, I dressed up for the first meeting in tropical clothes and sunscreen. By the next meeting we were all frustrated with isolation and that was reflected in the look. To keep moods up, I kept going. My rule was that (as we were supposed to be SIP) I could only put together looks from things already in the apartment. Found costumes are much more fun. I thought this silliness would be short-term and a good team-lifter, but then work-from-home never ended. I was going to stop after remote worked stopped, but they sold our space and we will now work from home forever. I hosted two years of "Zoom looks" and gained some internet and print notoriety, and I wound down over two years later—appropriately enough as Wilson from Castaway.
